When MoneyWorks called on a day when I was home from work due to illness, they talked to me for an hour about how they promised to save me at least $4,000 on my credit card debt, if I would only invest $1,295 with them. I have never in my life agreed to something like this, but I checked online and didn't see any 'red flags'. They got my credit card company on the phone and asked me to agree to the charge, which I did.

Later that night when I talked to my husband about it, I told me we should cancel it as he planned to get a bonus that would make a nice dent in our credit card debt. I tried repeatedly, daily, for three weeks straight to contact Money Works, only to be put on hold, or told my call would be returned (never was), or even have my call go unanswered. When after three weeks I finally got through, I was told that I didn't call within the three day cancellation period and I could not cancel!

I immediately contacted my credit card company to have them dispute the charge. They did, but Money Works refused to refund my money. Money Works just rides the fence of being legal. In my opinion I have been robbed! They did nothing to lower my credit card debt or even interest rate, nor has my money been refunded. Are they any class action suits against them? They are robbing the hard-working middle class!

Open question to the Attorney General of Georgia: Why do you allow this business to rip us off?
