Moni Monitronics you can cancel service But still have to pay full amount whether there are costs or not Nationwide
I have been a customer of Monitronics for approx 3 years. I was no longer in a contact. I called to see if I could get my cost down since I am retiring and have limited funds. They said they would lower my costs if I agreed to another 12 month contract. I told my wife I did this and she said she did not even want the service anymore. I quickly called them back within 24 hours stating I wanted to cancel and why. There was no billing to the credit card yet for the billing would not start until a month later and I was on AutoPay previously. They said very politely no problem you can cancel but you have to pay 12 months worth of service first because we processed the paperwork. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he stated he was a Supervisor. I said it is not even in effect until next month and asked did you incure any expences. I specifically menttioned did you incure any paperwork fees. I stated I could see a fee of some sort to recoup any expences. They said no it did not cost them anything but no matter what I still have to pay. If the company is that greedy to force someone to pay for a service even when it is not in affect yet at no cost to them do you want to trust a company like that. If the fees are so important as to charge when there is no service to be rendered yet at all in a very understanable situation does that not make you think what else are they willing to cut to make money. Beware!
