I have been trying to get these people to cancel my account. I finally got a letter from them saying they could not get a hold of me. True, because they had entered my phone number wrong in their system.

I was told that since my auto renewal came due in May 2003 and I had not notified them to cancel 30 days prior it renews for another year. I told them I wanted to cancel it now and they said no they would not cancel it until May 2004.

This company preys on our not being diligent with our contracts. And apparently do not have the decency to remind you that your contract is coming due.

It was in 2000 that I started the service with another company and my account somehow ended up with Monitronics.
