Complaint Review: Monitronics International

Monitronics International ripoff mistake causes home security system to go unmonitored for over two years. Then charges $95 to "fix" the system. Dallas Texas

My first alarm system was plagued with problems from the beginning. It was shortly thereafter replaced with a different system. The new security system's electronic serial number is different than the original. Monitronics failed to enter the new E.S.N. in their computer system.

As a result of this, anytime the alarm would be triggered, it would call and attempt to report the problem to Monitronics. Since the E.S.N. did not register in their computer system, they would not respond the the alarm. Their computer system looked for the E.S.N. of the original security system. As if to add insult to injury, Monitronics then had the nerve to charge me $95 for the service call to repair the system.

There was nothing wrong with the security system. The whole problem was a result of Monitronics lack of entering the correct information into their computer system. I've paid my monthly monitoring fee for what? I've not been monitored since the new security system was installed.
