My daughter has had this company for 3 years. In all this time, the service barely worked. Multiple calls to them result in zero results. Scheduled repair visits are not kept, they claim they are getting no signal, claim it must be her phone line, etc. They have no difficulty taking the money out of her account each month, but they sure have a problem showing up to make the system work.

I could write a book about all the problems she is having/has had with them. DO NOT do business with this company. The only robbing that will be happening is from your pocketbook. Please check out the Better Business Bureau for these people. Just type in Better Business Bureau, click on the link, then type in Monitronics in the section that says to investigate companies. As of today, 11/09/2008, the BBB states that their rating is unsatisfactory. Take a look at all the complaints filed against them. I clicked on the one link for Chicago, and they are not even a part of the BBB for Chicago. The other link is the one that has all the complaints listed against them, along with resolved issues. Please think seriously before agreeing to sign a contract with these people, my daughter was attacked in her home while the alarm was supposedly working. All it did was go off, it never notified any authorities or the alarm monitoring company. And never ever sign with any business for more than one year at a time, 3 years is a long time to be forced into paying for something you don't want. All I can say is Buyer Beware!
