Monitronics Monitronics Security WORST customer service of ANY company I have ever dealt with to date. Internet
BEWARE!!
There are so many things wrong with this company.
First, they charge different fees via different departments and will not consolidate them onto your bill or via one phone call. I did not realize this, and in their pursuit to find me for a$50 charge that was not yet paid they contacted a former co-worker with whom I had not even spoken in 5 years. This person was not used as a reference, and how they got her number I have no idea.
Secondly, I have received several voicemails from the monitoring department while out of town only to find out when I did not respond, nothing was done. If I'd been lying dead or dying in my home, I would have been SOL.
Finally, when I tried to cancel this account I was told I could only cancel the account in writing and once they received the written notice the account still would not be cancelled for another month... costing me another month's monitoring fees.
These people are ridiculous. Seriously, do your research and find another home security service company. Monitronics has irritated me to the point that I am going onto every customer review site I can find to spread the word not to use their services.
