Complaint Review: Monster.com

Monster.com IS PRO-SPAM and doesn't seem to have any real jobs posted Internet

I've had my resume posted on MONSTER.COM for over a year in order to hear about I.T. jobs - which are virtually non-existent now.

Every so often, I get a barrage of emails from some insurance(??) company in NJ, telling me I will be "helping senior citizens" by answering their inquiry about learning how to sell these senior some kind of life insurance or whatever it is.

Since I'm not interested in their commission based sales job (yes, I've heard "you can make a lot of money in this business" from real estate brokers too), I asked the company not to send any more emails. I don't remember the response but it was such that I next asked monster.com to stop the company from using emails in posted resumes to spam job seekers.

Most every web site in existence would consider this a violation of their terms of use and cancels the account of the violator. BUT NOT MONSTER!! Their answer to me?: I've chosen to be contacted by companies so I get emails; if I don't want them, then make my contact info private so they won't do so. Hey, genius, take your Haldol! You don't get job contacts in private!!

Nothing more than a big scam to get you to spend money. You spend hours and days on end sending resumes out and never, ever get a response. Well if your not getting any replies then it must be your resume and for $100 someone can write your resume for you or you can talk to people in the industry you want to work in for $14.99 a month. I don't know about anyone out there but its hard to spend money when your not making any.
