Complaint Review: Monster Flooring Sale

Monster Flooring Sale Beware!!! DO NOT do business with these people. I dont know where to begin. The salesperson will tell you everything he can to get the sales. He will tell you that he is the best friend of the owner, he will give you a price that no one else can in the company... blah blah blah. He will tell you about the promotion and how their rates are the cheapest, but once you sign the contract that rate will keep going up. Dallas Texas

Beware!!! I was closing on the house and I told the salesman about my situation and he said that as long as I let him know in advance it would be fine for him to change my installation dates.

When my closing got delayed and I asked him to change the installation date, he said that the owner would not allow that and pointed me to the contract saying that I had signed it and I had to pay the $294 cancellation fee to reschedule. I had notified them about the rescheduling about 5 days before installation and they still charged me that $294... They are very dishonest people and unprofessional. They deliberately over-estimated the space where they were going to install hardwood for me and ordered everything in excess.

The hardwood, glue, quarter rounds... and when I asked them about the overage they said that there will always be overage and if they would charge me 25% restocking fee to take it back. They are full of it. Out of 4 pales of glue only 2 was used. I have almost 15% overage on wood, 35% on quarter rounds and 50% on glue. Not just the materials, they also charged me for the installation of the overage material. They measured that my floor was 750 sq feet and ordered 754 sq ft of hard wood. When they completed the installation I had about 90 sq feet of wood left and there was wastage as well.

So that means that out of 754 sq feet they only installed about 650 sq feet but I was charged the whole 750 sq of installation. Same thing with quarter rounds. I tried to talk to the Pearson, the salesperson, and he pointed me to their manager Robert, and Robert just ignored me. He doesnt reply mails, doesnt answer my phone calls. I havent heard back from them... They are CROOKS... I would have saved money if I have gone through a different company. They have multiple locations in texas and its the same manager and same salesmen that keep moving around from one location to the other. So its not just one location that is bad, its the whole company.
