Montecito Skin Care, 530 W. Los Angeles Ave., #115-157, Moorpark, Ca. 93021 had an ad about a free trial for skin and eye care products that is very misleading, even after reading their Terms & Conditions. I filled out the form for their products and the ad said I would pay only Shipping & Handling fees and the ad also said the products have a 30 day money back guarantee. I day after I received the first shipment of the Skin Care product my bank account was charged $139.95. this is, according to the fine print in their Terms & Conditions, the price of the product you will be charged after the product is shipped. The misleading part of this company's practices and their ad is, you are signing up for a 14 day free trial of their product, but not a "subscription" for their product(s). The price of the Anti-Aging Skin Cream is $139.95 and they say, after calling them, that the "suggested" usage is for 30 days. Nowhere on the bottles of skin cream are there instructions for use, nor is there any "suggested" methods or time that the product(s) lasts. This company's advertising for their products and their "free trials" is extremely misleading to the average consumer and borders on Elder Abuse and Identity Theft. I've spoken to two representatives of the company and they barely speak understandable English. I had to have them repeat themselves over and over and could hear others speaking loudly in the background - definately a "call center" environment. I am 66 yrs. old and a Disabled American Veteran and am seriously disappointed in this compan's approach to marketing.
