Monument Valley Engineers MVECivil MVEcivil did nothing for about a year! Colorado Springs Colorado
I needed to work with an engineer to divide a lot at Springs East Airport into 10 lots. I hired Monument valley Engineers on March 4 2022. The lot was approved back in 2008 but did not get the final filing because of the economy at the time. After talking with the El Paso county they said we can go through a "resubmit". Dave at MVE (Monument Valley Engineers) said the plans need to be in a different format and it needs some drainage calculations but it looks like it should not take long.
Time passed, I would email, call and sometimes go in there office and be shown plans on a table, more time passed and they tell me "I've uploaded", " I've drawn..." "we can do... to get to the next meeting", etc.
Then on February 3rd 2023 about a YEAR later. I was told I should "update" and pay again for a soils test (as if it changed) and traffic study for the property (on a dirt road) for roughly $10,000 +.
So I emailed the contact at the county and asked for a meeting. His (Ryan Houser) reply was "I have discussed this project with the PCD Director regarding the option to process it as a ‘reconsideration’ vs. a ‘start from scratch’ submittal and due to the time that has passed, we can no longer consider this as a reconsideration. it will be required to undergo the entire review process, including hearings before the Planning Commission and BoCC."
I was furious. The bottom line is MVEcivil.com, Monument Valley Engineers did nothing, NOTHING. No submittal, no drawing,
Best to stay away from them.
