We purchased over $20,000 dollars from Moon Valley Nursery in Palm Trees. One of them was planted already dead. We called them a couple weeks later and they said the tree was "in shock" from the planting process. They also said that if it did not come back, they would replace the palm. Well, a couple of months went by and they came back and said that the tree is not dead, and to wait a couple more months for it to come back. Well, it has been almost a year and their warranty is for a year. They refuse to exchange the palm tree. Everytime we call them, they say we have to wait a couple of months. I complained with the BBB and they refused to reply back to the complaint. They do not take the BBB phone calls either. They finally called us back and said they would replace the palm but CHARGE US FOR THE REPLANTING, CRANE, ETC. The tree has been dead for the entire year and now they want to charge us? I filed another complaint with the BBB and they are once again not replying to the BBB e-mails or phone calls. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They plant dead trees and then refuse to honor their warranty and admit their fault.

We have now received a call from MVN regarding our issue. The person handling the situation was out of town which is why the BBB was not able to get a hold of him.  However, as soon as he got back from vacation, everything was handled.

MVN will be coming out within the next couple of weeks to replace the date palm and we will not be paying the cost for the crane/planting.

John with MVN has been very helpful and I am glad to say that the issue is now in the process of being resolved.
