Moonlight Marketing/Steven Thomas somehow they retrieved my bank account information and stole $199 Champlain New York
this company stated to me that i ordered a caller i.d. box on March 15, 2004. that is impossible, noone was home that day. i called this company and spoke to a mr. steven thomas and he said that i purchased this order on March 15th. i then explained to him that was impossible due to the fact that we werent home that day or night. he then stated that i in fact did order this box and that i gave them permission to withdraw $199.oo out of my checking account. that was an outright lie so i asked him for any type of proof of this order and he could not send me anyhting due to the fact it was a phone order.
that is not true. they had to have had something per my bank, the FTC and my local police department. they are supposedly going to reimburse me but i have yet to see my money and suprisingly no one can help me. if anyone has been victim to these people, please let rip off report know.

Rachel,
Did they actually draw money out of your account? If so, that is actually several crimes they have committed and I would talk to my bank about it ASAP and close that account!
Or did they SAY they had your approval to draw from your account and use that as a ploy to GET your account information?
I would NEVER give someone on the phone that information. In fact, if a telemarketer says that they are authorized to do a transaction and then they want your information that is a dead giveaway that they are committing FRAUD.
Another red flag should be the Champlain, New York P.O. box! Scammers in Montral use this border town as a 'mail drop' location as it is just a short drive down Autoroute 15 for them.
