Moonpig.com offered 'a dozen red roses gift wrapped' for valentines day. Their website quoted: "Express your love with a dozen of our beautiful gift wraped red roses.". If only they were beautiful.

The flowers arrived to my girlfriends place of work and she sent me a less than excited thank you message. I asked if she liked them and she said 'yes'. Nothing else. I asked for a photo, and was less than pleased with what I saw.

The flowers were flat, like they'd been sat at the bottom of a bag with heavy items on top. Where the photo on the website showed a picture of a large bunch of bright red roses, all open in full bloom with lovely big heads, these were small, dark flowers, all closed and un-impressive. Moonpig.com showed a picture of red roses you'd find in the movies, and they delivered a bunch which I honestly could have found for less than 5 in a petrol station. They certainly weren't worth the 30 I spent on them.

I have called and complained, they told me they use different florists for their flower deliveries and will investigate for a possible part-refund. Not what I want to hear. I have an upset Girlfriend who doesn't think much of me, and a 30 hole in my pocket!
