Mopaba Express Rams Ventures Thieving, Unethical, Immoral, Mopaba Express Hammond Indiana
Sasa Jankovich is a lying, thieving, unethical, immoral, coward...and those are his strong suits. I challenge him to sue me for libel about anything I am about say. From the beginning, he never informed me he employs drivers using 1099, i.e. taxes are driver responsibility. He never offered a choice of a W-4, until after he was investigated by a Dept. of Labor rep. Who quite honestly, did a piss poor inquiry. Mr. Jankovich does not provide weekly settlements or pay stubs. He said they are available upon request. I just left the comapany and my 2 request for a weekly breakdown of work and pay, has never been honored. I think I figured out why. He says, "I write down everything". Yet, I noticed a pay check was "light". I reminded of the 8 pickups and 4 drops...he told me to, "Take $60 from the T-chek he sent me for my pay and fuel". Which means since the first and last are not paid in trucking...he paid me $60 for a combined 10 pickups and drops....a $6 average. When I brought this up upon returning to the company, he gave me an additional $50 out of his pocket. That is still only $11 per stop...industry average os $20-25. I will never know if I was or what was I paid for the prior months of multi-drops and pickups. As I previously stated, he has yet to provide a paystub or weekly settlement requested by me. I believe this is how Mr. Jankovich screws drivers out of pay. He can write anything "he" likes in his notebooks, as there is no review or a system of checks and balances at Mopaba.
The company is in his deceased wifes name. He has been doing business with companies under her name although she passed months ago. I actually gave him whiteout, to make changes to a document sent via fax to a broker for a load. I listened to him seek access to a brokers load board, as is his wife were still alive. There were several loads Mr. Jankovich acquired via broker, with no intentions of delivering....to solely get an advance from the broker and then return the load. He had an employee break the trailer seal, take a load of eggs and put them on another trailer...and then told the broker the driver left with the wrong trailer...then had me drive it back to the Michigan plant. The plant, surprisingly didnt even check if the seal was intact...they just unloaded the eggs. Countless loads, refrigerated, at some point were not transported according to required temps. I was stuck working on my assigned refeer every trip for over a month. It would quit for whatever reason and I was asked to get it running...with no additonal pay on 90% of these occassions. On one such occassion, I actually had to stop every few hours to charge the refeer batteries to keep a load of ice cream from Michigan to Florida cold....all day and night from where refer cut out in Tennessee to delivery. I once had a multi drop load from Wisconsin to the west coast. Refeer acted up in South Dakota...it was always a problem. Mr. Jankovich told the broker he needed to put the load in storage, while the reefer was repaired. He never sent me back for the load, and of course I didnt have refeer repaired. Mr. Jankovich hates...hates if you mention the 34 hour reset. I actually went 20 days without an actual off day. As he said about logs, "Make it look legal for police".
Also, he hates when you mention major problems that should be addressed. The truck may pass DOT...so, he doesnt want to hear about the gallon of coolant you add daily...he doesnt care if the truck stops from west coast Florida to the east coast of the state. He doesnt care of your truck wont do above 45 mph and thus creating a hazard on the roadways. This company could not pass a true DOT inquiry...Mr. Jankovich condones false logs and had plans at the time of my leaving to teach a driver how falsify logs, as the driver logs everything legit. Again, if I am lying Mr. Jankovich...take me to court...PLEASE. And no...I would never "hack into the credit bureau" to raise your credit score, as you asked.
