Complaint Review: First National Credit

I also received the "you are already approved!" enevelope. It says pre-approved gold card with a credit line of $15,000 and 0%interest for 1st 12 months. I have to say I found it immediately suspicious but read through the letter out of couriosity. The request for a membership fee of $37 dollars in advance for further information should let anyone know it is not a credit card in the sense of the typical Visa or Mastercard.

Reading further it does say you can use this "gold" card immediately upon receipt for all purchases FROM CREDIT PROVIDER. Well, that told me I would not be able to use it anywhere else and this was some marketing ploy for a direct mail catalog business. I went ahead and did a search on line because I was going to call and ask the question about using the "card" anywhere else.

The company is listed on the internet with the same address as the one in Aliso Viejo, CA on the letter and the number listed is 949-448-8822. However, I tried the number several times and it is always "busy".

When I ran a search on the company name I found this site. Yeah for the Internet and exposing the duplicitous ness of some companies.... Thanks!
