Same as the person who previously reviewed this horrible apartment complex, if I could give them a negative rating I would! To be honest I am writing this review in frustration for sure but my real purpose for writing it is to warn any future potential residents. This place is absolutely terrible. The management is rediculous, they do nothing and respond to absolutely none of the phone calls I have made. The people working at the management office are very unprofessional and have no clue what they are doing. They really arent there to service the renters. It seems more like they are there to collect your money and keep you quiet. The repairs that were made to the apt. I rented were so shotty and half a$$. There was a pipe leak in the our Kitchen. The dining room carpet flooded. We couldnt use the sink or dish washer and of course all of this happened on Thanksgiving. While they were doing work on the apartment, which took more than a week they offered to out us up in their "corporate" apt. an hour away. I cant stay and hour away! I have to go to work. But the smell in the apt. coming from the enourmous hole in the kitchen floor was grotesque! The kitchen was completely off limits so we had to stay with a friend for days. Huge inconvenience!
My biggest issue with Sparta Green is the fact that they claim you dont have to pay a security fee and thats great but when you leave the apartment they WILL get their security fee! We moved out and called the office literally 15 times to set up a move out inspection. No answer. No call back after we left messages.  So they decided to do a move out inspection without us present. Wellllll. . .  we received a bill for 1300 dollars. Thats only 80 dollars less than the rent! The bill said there was damage to the carpet. Ok so lets say there was some damage to the carpet (Which there wasnt) why would they have to replace the carpet in the entire apartment??? Im assuming that is why it costs 1300 dollars to replace? Ive purchased carpet before and that seems rediculous. It was a one bedroom apartment. Not big at all!
Also, the lighting in the parking lot is horrible. I was always nervous to walk to my car alone at night. Not a good feeling. The neighborhood is certainly not safe enough for that!
Laundry room: Since we moved in there were always broken washers and dryers and there really arent a lot to begin with. No one EVER came to fix the broken ones so if you didnt know which ones didnt work you would end up using them but your clothes were sopping wet when you pull them out. I guess the spin cycle didnt work. Waste of money! There wasnt even a sign to let you know that they werent working well.
So in conclusion. . . BEWARE! I know westchester is a tough place to find an affordable apartment b/c that is what lead us here as well. But my advice would be to keep searching. If it seems too good to be true, it is! Like I said, they will get their money somehow so they have you thinking that you are getting a deal but in the end you will end up paying that security fee and feeling very frustrated and violated. We received a call from a collection agency one week after we received the bill from Sparta Green. We wanted to dispute the bill but now that we are faced with the idea of losing our great credit score what choice do we have but to pay this rediculous bill now? They basically strong armed us into paying for nonsense.
