I bought a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup with 125,896 miles on it. I was told a mechanic checked it out & it ran great without any mechanical problems. Bought it after 6p.m. Sat. 8\7\04, paid for the tag, which Moris insusted on getting himself, on Mon. 8\09\04 after 12:30 p.m. Drove the truck Tues. 8\10\04, it started knocking at speeds over 45 mph, missing one cylinder, driven 12 miles that day. Wed, 08\11\04, the truck knocks worse & looses oil pressure to zero while driving it. It is parked in my driveway. $3,777.65 worth of metal.

The carfax received 8/10/04 shows over 175,000 miles in Jan., 2003 & also shows April 6,2004 that the state shows over 194,000 miles on this truck. Moris says sometimes the odometers break, sometimes they are changed for used ones.

He says this today 8\12\04, after I confront him on the phone with this info & my concerns over the mechanical condition of the truck. He is a Fraud, I feel he intentionally lied to me in order to sell a truck with over 200,000 miles. I want a refund. DO NOT buy anything from MORIS AUTO SALES in Panama City, Florida. HE is a con Artist & a Fraud.

When you bought this truck something some where should have the miles of the vehicle you bought...They have to be there....If you have those miles on the paperwork that his company filled out, And there is not a odometer disclosure form saying there is a discrepancy, Then yes...take his a$$ To the mat! He is a crook!

Good luck.

Moris Auto Sales rip- off update

#4Author of original report

Mon, August 23, 2004

I neglected to add in the original rip-off report, that I always change the oil myself, after purchasing any vehicle. The oil in this 1994 Sierra was clean, none the less it was changed. That's when the knocking began. The dealership had doctored up the oil so it wouldn't immediately be knocking. They also said there was a recent oil change. Tell me how I'm supposed to catch this without changing the oil on site! My initial reply still stands, the mileage was rolled back 70,000 miles before i purchased the vehicle. Isn't that ILLEGAL?

Sol:

You said you were told a mechanic checked this car out, right? Who told you that and was it a mechanic you paid who's interest is you?

I rest my case.
