I had a vehicle transported from Dallas Texas to Metro Atlanta. I was told the driver would contact me 24 hours prior to delivery. Delivery date was to be a Monday. I checked my voice mail Sunday(the day before the scheduled delivery) and had a message from the driver. He was 2 hours out and if I didn't call him back he was continuing through Atlanta with my car and too bad for me. I called him back, by now he was 1.5 hours out, I said I'd be home come on by. Easy in easy out access I've had cars picked up and delivered before. 1.5 hours later he calls and askes where I can meet him. Isn't the idea of an Auto Transport to Transport Autos, it's not Get Close Auto Transport. I asked why I had to come get the car, and explained I've had cars delivered and shipped. Moving vans have been in my subdivision. He said he did NOT have permits to be on secondary roads, huh??? Whatever I drive 15 miles to te interstate to get my car Not a massive deal, except of course when you pay for DOOR to DOOR service. I call his office(a cell phone number) and speak to his boss?  I ask for an explanaion as to why an auto transport company can't get permits to drive on secondary roads. I am told that isn't the issue the issue is access. Auto transports ar so low they can't get into subdivisions. I said I've had others here, and the response was well we can't. I guess this isn't so much a Rip Off Report as it is a Heads Up. If you want an auto shipped from pretty darn close to pretty darn, close these guys are good. Door to Door, Use someone else.
