I purchased a new Madami Big Rex All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) from Motor Land Sports via the Internet. I should have guest that problems were brewing when the ATV arrived with the chain missing. I contacted Motor Land and was sent a replacement chain.

The vehicle was used 5 times towing Jr. dragsters around in the pits before the transmission broke. Once again I contacted Motor Land to find an authorized service facility in my area. Now here is where the drama starts. The service facility informed me that the gear shift shaft broke in half inside the transmission. Their recommendation was to replace the entire transmission for a quick repair since the vehicle was still under warranty. This was fine with me, until I was informed that there was no transmission available for Big Rex in the country and it was going to take two months to get one from China.

Motor Land also informed me that the Big Rex had problems in the past with transmission and that I could do one of two things:

1: Wait for a transmission from China (out of the question) or
2: They would send me another ATV call the Madami Big Daddy.

I agreed on the Big Daddy ATV, but two days ago changed my mind. Here are my reasons why:

1. If Motor Land knew the Big Rex had transmission problems, why are they selling this defective product.

2. They no longer carry the Big Rex via their internet site. Hmmm I wonder why...And I don't want to deal with another Madami product.

3. I have not heard from Motor Land on when the ATV they promised would be shipped. I have since written them via email with no response and stating that I want a refund for the purchase price of $2598.

At this moment I have defective ATV that is basically a lawn ornament. I suggest if you purchase any motorized vehicles over the net, make sure they are name brand products such as Honda, Suzuki, etc. As for Motor Land Sports, be leary of what they are selling. Chances are parts are hard to get or don't exist because the manufacture doesn't make them any more. I know I will never do business with them again and I am currently seeking a refund.

As of today 1/24/04, this company has not responded to resolving my ATV issue. They have not honored the warranty and I still have an inoperative ATV from them. I'm currently trying resolve this issue through the Florida States Attorney Office.

I was also promised a new ATV from the owner. I'm still waiting for that. I advise not to do business with them..
