I too did business with this farm. I traded a horse I had, for one that was supposed to be "kid safe". They said this gelding was 4 or 5 years old, kid safe, healthy etc. I knew he was younger, but he was calm, gentle and I rode him on their property.

We arranged a trade, and believe me they got a horse that was healthy, sound, gentle but larger than what I wanted. He'd had all his shots, wormings and vet checked. They told me all they gave their horses the Strangles vaccine.

After getting the new one home, I discovered he was all bones under the shaggy coat and seemed to be starving. He had to be fed away from my other horse, he'd fight for the food.

I took him to my vet who said he was barely two years old, very under weight, wormy and we gave him all the shots my horses receive. After putting some weight on him, I started riding him for brief periods. He is barely green broke, and still in training. It's really pitiful to see an animal in that condition.

Fortunately the horse I traded was only there for a short time and now has a great home with a new family.

I recently learned that the hearing on this case was March first and that they pleaded guilty to the animal abuse charges. They have no animals at this time and are forbidden to own any for three years. Bless the people who made this happen and hopefully they'll be watched closely by the authorities.
