Complaint Review: Mountain Park Athletic Association

Mountain Park Athletic Association Mountain Park, MPAA, Mtn Park, Mountain Park Park non-refund, non-delivery of service, ripoff, fraudulent board, corrupt officials Lilburn, Georgia

I registered my child to play baseball at Mountain Park and a few weeks later decided that we would not be able to participate. I notified all concerned immediately and was assured that it was no problem and that I would receive a refund shortly. After all, the season had not yet begun and we hadn't even received our uniforms.

Two weeks later I was informed that I would not be receiving a refund and told that I didn't deserve one because we were going elsewhere to play. Basically, they didn't like my reason so they decided to rip us off. I met all deadlines and guidelines regarding my refund and was told that I was out of luck.

I am not the first person that this happened too either. MPAA has rapidly declined the last few years and been taken over by corrupt power-hungry "board members" who only serve their own interests.

I have given the park one last opportunity to refund the full amount of registration or to refund the registration amount minus the cost of a uniform if needed. I was very accommodating. If they do not, I will request a chargeback from my credit card company and we'll see if MPAA gives them the same illegal reasons for essentially stealing from us.

Please folks, if you are looking for a park in Gwinnett County for your child, do yourselves a favor and head to Brookwood or one of the other nearby parks. Mtn Park used to be a great place, maybe once the current administration is gone it will return to greatness, but I doubt it.

NOTE: A woman was assaulted at the park in broad daylight while jogging and the administration didn't so much as send out a warning email to other mothers and women who jog through the park.

My post is false and not my own story. I apologize.

I am ashamed to say that I filed this report under falsely and used a story that wasn't even mine. I heard the details from
a mutual friend and I ran with it. I do not even have a child at Mtn Park.  I thought I was helping but I realize that all I have done is cause more grief for the individual. I was unaware that the individual who's story I used in my report was resolving the issue with the park.

As the author, I have requested that my report be removed. I sincerely apologize to the mountain park, the rr community, and especially the individual who's story I used as my own. I do agree that Mountain Park is as safe or safer that many other area parks in Gwinnett. I crossed a line.

Below is my phone number if anyone need's a verbal rebuttal or by email at (((Redacted)))at gmail dot com. Again, I apologize if I made a situation worse...I  thought I was helping.

(((Redacted)))

Again, I apologize and I reiterate that I essentially stole the story and embellished it.

This is my story, why did you use it?

I am requesting that he author of this post explain to me why they used my personal story as the basis of their "report". The situation was well on it's way to being resolved before this was posted. I actually have a meeting Sunday to resolve the issue. While I may have my differences with the park from time to time, I do not in any way condone this.

You did not help me in any way. Because it is hauntingly apparent that you used my situation, I am now being accused of filing this report which is also completely false. For the most part, my family and I have nothing but love for MPAA.

It's apparent that we know each other and have spoken recently and I am asking you to please edit or remove this post. It was not fair to me or my family to be used as the subject for your report. Please contact me,  I have left all of my contact info with this site.

Lastly, to insinuate that Mountain Park is unsfafe is completely innacurate. The park takes the safety of the kids and families very seriously and always have. Thanks for your time.

As a parent I can say that Mountain Park is a great place for your children to be involved with.
