I made reservations at Mountain Vista Inn and Suites in October 2021. I made the reservations on  a vacation site. The pictures on the site are not accurate pictures.

They are a lot of years  old. This visit was for my wedding and honeymoon, and we drove for several hours. This was a huge mistake!

When we arrived I asked the employee at the check in desk if I could look at the room before she charged the total amount of the hotel room to my credit card. She said "no". Since it was peak season, and  other hotels had no availability, I completed check in and went to my room. 

I stood in the room speechless and was mad. There was a roach in the bathroom, a soiled comforter, holes in the walls, and damaged doors. Me and my wife immediately went back to the check in desk and I told the employee what the condition of the room was and she just sat there in a chair and acted like she couldn't care less.

She said she would not refund any money and that I could call the manager in the morning at 9:00.





My wife and I finally found another room, which was very nice. I had to pay for two full vacation stays at two different hotels, which took away from the money that I needed to spend on the wedding, and honeymoon. The credit card company finally gave me a refund, however it took months.

The owner of the hotel ( Bert Patel ) , who is a scammer, forges documents ie: hotel receipts. There is no way in the whole wide world that the good reviews on the hotels web site are real.  

Even though we showed up we was charged $75 for a “last minute cancellation fee.” This is everyday practice at this hotel.
