Movado Group, Movado Tyson's Corner Boutique Damaged my watch. Wanting to do unnecessary work. Held my watch. Fairfax Virginia
I bought my Movado Vizio in late 2000 for $600 at Movado Dealer.
A watch dealer in NY was not able to open the watch to replace the battery in summer 2005. Causing minor marks in the casing.
Tyson's Corner Boutique (703-917-8901) put in new battery and later said the back case was damaged because it was "pushed-in". I stated the watch is no way was damaged because I took good care of it and no way it was damaged by the NY watch store.
TC Boutique sent the watch to Movado repair center (Fay Reid, Karen Remhoss, 1-800-810-2311) and they wanted to overhaul my watch for $375! I said is ridiculous and they lowered it to $250. I told them all I wanted was a new battery.
Movado repair center said overhauling the watch is required as the watch is "not damaged" (this is contrary to TC Boutique's statement that claimed the watch was "pushed-in" damaged) but a "recommended" service to all Movado watches.
I would appreciate your help in getting this resolve. As you can see, they wanted to fix nothing for $250 ("discounted" from $375). All I needed was a new battery.
TC Boutique has my watch since December 18,2005.
Thank you for your help!
