I needed to move from las vegas to Wisconsin and chose MOVE 4 LESS. I found it on the internet and saw good reviews, so I decided on them. Well it took TWO WEEKS from the date of pickup to deliver my stuff. When they did show up I noticed one of the boxes had the tape lifting off of it so I checked the box to find that my camcorder was stolen!! This was the WORST thing they could have possibly taken from me as it had my 1 and only pregnancy video on this camcorder and I also had an old personal video of me and my partner on there that could very well be the reason it was stolen! It could end up on the internet!! I was shocked this happened. When I told the drivers that it was missing they said you'll have to contact move 4 less....which I did but they did nothing! All the manager said is the drivers and the movers who actually picked up my stuff were questioned and at that point I had to file a police report. So I'm down 1195 for my small move and a camcorder w my personal stuff on there. Great!! I don't know who even did this because the guys who pick up your belongings and put them in the truck are different from the drivers who drop off your belongings to your home. Let me also say that this camcorder was at the very bottom of the box meaning they had to have been looking through all of my stuff to find what was most valuable to them. I believe this is what takes so long to deliver your things. They probably look through all your sh*! I hate whoever did this to me!!

Move 4 Less Management Response

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, April 11, 2013

I would like to respond to your concerns you have listed on this site: All items were packed and sealed by owner (yourself) to which the movers have no knowledge of what the contents are inside of each and every one of your boxes. There were no specified, detailed, or itemized inventory lists regarding each box of contents provided by you to our company including the missing camcorder that is in question. We had one moving crew load your items on to our truck and a second (different) moving crew deliver your items.

In regards to your delivery time frame, you specifically put on our contract that the first available date for delivery would be 02/28/2013. We delivered your items on 03/09/2013. Your items were delivered within 6 business days (From
Nevada to Wisconsin, which is considered a very fast long distance delivery in the moving industry). When you called our office to report the missing item in question, we instructed you to file a police report. This is a matter for the police to handle and investigate which we had agreed to fully cooperate, provide any/all information, and help the detective that would be assigned to your case in every way possible. You have not filed a police report as of today seeing as we have not yet been contacted by them regarding this matter.

Move 4 Less moves over 500 households on a monthly basis and very seldom do we get a call regarding missing items. Please keep in mind that upon delivery, you signed off on the contract stating that all your goods were delivered in apparently good condition, nothing was left on the truck, and that all services ordered were rendered.

At last, we apologize for any inconvenience and/or frustration this may have caused. Please contact our office if you would like our claims and arbitration information. Thank you.

Respectfully,
Move 4 Less Management
