Movers R Us LLCMovers are us Beware, Scammers. Clinton Twp. Michigan
BEWARE of this company. Not even worthy of a one star! Not only are they untrained movers who don't even have the basics such as straps to move heavy stuff but they are a MAJOR rip off! I was quoted hourly for 2 hours then once they show up suddenly there is a 4 hour minimum as well as other fees tacked on.
They showed up in a truck too small to even fit the small list of required items I needed moved let alone the extra stuff I was told they could bring.
Get to my new house with first load and the time was only 1.5 hours knowing I now have to pay 4 hours I say we are going back for another trip only to be told EVERYTIME they start the truck it's an extra $55, are you kidding me???? So after arguing with Krystal she only takes off an hour. So now I paid for 3 hours for movers that were only there 1 hour and 45 mins (did I mention the two breaks and lunch they stopped for too??) but it doesn't stop there.
While moving they were unable to carry any of my furniture to the new basement so now I'm out a couch and a tv for my basement. Then they leave and as I'm setting up my beds I realize they didn't even bring one of the beds and dressers from the other house! They put a mattress in one room and a box spring in the other just so I wouldn't notice. If that wasn't enough I was left with a hole in my new wall and a chipped dresser.
I immediately try to call the company but of course get no response. After that I email in which I received an email right back from Kingsley Ifezue stating:
This is throwers rid the company we will refund that fee and I will bring this up with the movers. I will get back with you Tuesday Wednesday at the latest
Kingsley Ifezue
Only to have my check quickly deposited and cleared from my account and no response back. After me emailing again Thursday after not hearing and having my check cleared I receive another email from Kingsley saying, he/she doesn't know what I'm complaining about but there will be no refund as my job was completed. Nice huh? If that isn't a scamming company I don't know what is.
A move is supposed to be a happy time this company made it a horrific experience. Save yourself the stress and go with a real name company. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Ps. They don't honor their groupon either so don't even try to purchase that.

Sorry for your experiences, "Anonymous"!
Movers R Us and Kingsley Ifezue are clearly SERIAL FRAUDSTERS and EVERYONE should BEWARE of Movers R Us and/or Kingsley Ifezue!! BEWARE! BEWARE!!
I hired them for a move in June 2012, and they charged me $300 as agreed-upon, beforehand. But then a month or so later, a charge of $2,965 appeared on my credit card from this company.
I called to inquire, the manager, Kingsley was all apologetic claiming it was a mistake and that they had accidentally charged my card instead of another customer's card, and that they would immediately refund the amount in full, and I should wait a few days for the refund to appear on my account.
So I waited, and NOTHING!
So I called again, and this time, Kingsley told me that the person whose card they had originally intended to charge (instead of mine) for moving to Georgia, had provided them with fake card info (and in retrospect, the question is why didn't they check the validity of the card BEFORE moving them!), so though they filed a claim, they were unable to recover those funds unless they went to Georgia in person, and would have to pay me in installments, but that it would be paid in full by the end of that month (August 2012).
Well here it is August of 2014 and I am still owed $2,200 of that $2,965 balance and it has been nothing but excuses after excuses.
At first Kingsley claimed that they didn't have the money and were in tight financial straits, yet during a subsequent meeting to make an installment payment, I heard him talking about buying an iPhone! He has enough money to buy pricey iPhones, but not repay wrongly-charged customers!!
I trusted this company thinking it was a legitimate bonded moving company, but NEVER AGAIN!!
The last time I spoke to them -- over a year ago (though I've tried repeatedly to contact them ever since, they never answer their phone when I call and it goes to voicemail which either says the mailbox is full or it disconnects me) they basically refused to repay me until I remove this report from the RipoffReport.com site. But I am not going to do that, because this valid complaint is my only leverage with them -- and if I remove it under duress in the hopes of getting my money back, then they have no incentive to actually ever give me my money back!
So we've basically reached an impasse, with them essentially holding me hostage by refusing to repay their debt until this ripoff report is removed, And me increasingly realizing that the only way I'll ever get at least some of my money back is to consider suing them in small claims court. Because other than that I guess I've pretty much lost the $2,200 for these crooks!
And the worst part is, because I live on disability, the money they stole from me was really important for my savings & future -- and now thanks to them I have little to nothing left!! :(
I am basically OUT $2,200 for what was supposed to be a $300 move, and it would probably cost more for me to sue to recover that amount, than I would end up getting back from them at the end!
Beware, BEWARE of Movers Are Us and Kingsley Ifezue!
