Complaint:

I called Movers4U to schedule a move from XXXXXXXX Dallas, Texas 75248 to XXXXXXXXX Dallas, Texas 75248 for Saturday, July 29, 2006.

I had contracted with David Arellano because I had used him before in unloading a truck. This time, I was shocked when I saw the condition of the truck and individuals. Three individuals (I could not tell if they were employed by Movers4U) showed up, I had only asked for two. I agreed to pay for the third only if they could complete the move within 3.5 at the most 4 hours (using 3 guys). One of the individuals arrived from Mexico a couple of weeks before my move and could not speak or understand English. The truck contained broken out lights and lens, floor with holes. As I had mentioned above, I had used Movers4U before and was surprised and voiced my disappointment to Sergio Arellano when he called to see if they had made it.

I had everything packed & boxed in an organized manner, furniture ready for the move. Therefore, it should not take 3 guys more than 4 hours to load and unload my items from a one bedroom apartment.

They did not provide me Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move in Texas. They did not take inventory of items, nor provide me an inventory sheet. The first sentence of the contract states The household goods carrier or party in possession of any of the property herein described shall be liable at common law for any loss thereof or damage thereto...

I caught Movers4U employee, Ascension Barron, various times in my tool box, in my personal items boxed and in my refrigeration. I tried to watch what he did and to tell him to work. It was hard for one person to watch 3 guys (when I asked for only 2), watch how they packed and unpacked my items, move and answer phone calls. Ascension Barron's job was to wrap the furniture. He stood around much of the time. He was going to charge me $100.00 to disconnect my washer and dryer. I stated I would call David. Ascension then declined the charge.

During the next 3 days, I found many of my Broyhill furniture pieces and was damaged when I unwrapped and polished the furniture during the next 3 days. The furniture contained deep grooves, scratches, gashes in the wood.

It took 6.5 hours for the three individuals to move to move items from a one bedroom apartment to another.

I gave them water, Gatorade and soft drinks. I bought them lunch and paid for their time while they ate. I did not want any damage to my items so in taking care of them, I thought they would take care of my items. That was a wrong thought!

The employees did not report to the owner that I gave them a Sony Player, paid for their lunch and gave each individual a cash tip (total $65.00 to each individual) even though they did not do a professional move. I was constantly telling them to be careful. When I went in or out of the apartment, they would stand around.

I had a male friend move my jewelry armoire out of my clothes closet. He saw much of my jewelry was in their cases or in the armoire drawers. He is my proof that I HAD my jewelry in the armoire before the arrival of these 3 movers.

The only individual who was in the bedroom and had access to my armoire was Ascencion Chonsito Barron. However, when I unwrapped the oak armoire; ALL diamond and sapphire rings, earrings, tennis bracelets, gold watches and diamond sapphire & ruby necklaces were taken out of their cases (missing). (See the police report.) In taking inventory of my items, I found that ALL my precious jewelry received from my husband before his death had been stolen including our wedding rings!

David Arellano agreed Asencion Barron stole the jewelry and not the other guys. I saved the conversation. However, as operator of Movers4U, David has failed to be responsive in this incident. I asked for his insurance agent and he failed to provide me with the information. Movers4U business card states a christian company bonded & licensed professional, courteous and experience personnel which is far from the truth. This is a company of unprofessional liars, stealers and unresponsive people. Again, the contract Section 2 (c) states, Any household goods carrier or party liable on account of loss of or damage to any of the property shall have the full benefit of any insurance that may have been effected, upon, or account of, said property so far as this shall not void the policies or contracts of insurance provided, that the household goods carrier reimburses the claimant for the premium paid. He has taken zero action with his employee and has continued to employ him on other moves. He has done nothing to mediate a mutual agreement to this unprofessional and deceitful service.

I am reporting this in hopes that no one else will go through what I have experienced with this unprofessional and non-responsible business operator and his company certainly not a christian company (as stated on their business card and website)and his untrusting, stealing employees whom lie and steal when I treated them more than fair.

Thank you.
