I ordered the Laird Hamilton DVD box set from Movie Mars, Inc. via ebay back in July of 2006. I paid for the item using a master card and the charge was taken out instantly. When I placed the order, the online inventory showed the availabilty of two of the item I ordered. I was told that it would be three to seven business days before I would get my item, which I thought was great considering other websites claimed it would be four to six weeks and I was ordering it for my boyfriend for his birthday. It is now mid-december almost and my item has still not been delivered.

After one week with no item, I contacted them (using ebay as a medium) via email. They wrote me back explaining that it sometimes takes seven to eleven business days. I waited fourteen business days and contacted them again (using ebay as a medium). I was sent an email that was worded almost exactly the same. I then submitted a purchase dispute through ebay, nothing ever came of that.

I finally decided to contact them directly so I sent an email to their office. The next day I got a response that informed me that my item was not in stock due to a inventory miscount and the item would be restocked in two weeks and promptly shipped to me. I waited two weeks, I had not been informed of any shipment so i contacted them again. The next day I got a response. The response was written EXACTLY like the first response I previously recieved. I then immediatley wrote them back to explain my disgust and aggrivation. The next day I got a response from someone asking if I wanted a refund. At this point I wrote back letting them know that I really wanted the item and I would wait on it.

After one month with no email and the charge having already been put on the credit card, I emailed them a third time in order to inquire about the status of my order. The next day I got a response. I recieved another email that was worded EXACTLY like the first email that explained my order was out of stock. I then found a phone number on the credit card reciept. I called and reached a voice mail stating that all questions were done via email but phone messages would be returned in three business days.

I have called them numerous times over the four and a half month period. I have been nice on the messages and sometimes i have cursed on the messages. I have never EVER recieved a call back.

Just this week, I decided to contact them in order to get a refund. They emailed me back the same generic email that informs me that my item is out of stock...blah...blah...blah. I wrote them back and told them i was going to report them and I still want my refund. The situation has yet to be resolved.
