Complaint Review: Movie Work Now Casting

On their website they say "Register today with MovieWorkNow Casting and you could be on the set, in the scene and part of the action!" My daughter filled out the application on their website. I called them and said "bottom line, is there any fee". The rep. on the phone said there is no cost. Only if the person does get work. That makes sense. I went on to say I just wanted to make sure this wasn't one of those so called talent agencies that lure you in then tell you there is a fee.  Definitely not I was told. That background work or ads would have no cost. They keep your paperwork and photos for scouts to check out. The person I spoke to on the phone did for a fee you could register on line and then there is a fee.  Then there could be extra work. Speaking parts. My daughter just wanted to leave her info as I was told on the phone. Again. I was told that was free. So when she got there today, the older lady she spoke with explained if she paid somewhere between $150-300 for her photo packet, she could be in line for decent work. The employee said "that is how George Clooney got his start." My daughter explained that is a bit steep and that she just wanted to fill out the paperwork and leave her photo. She did ask if she could do that at a later time. The lady in a very rude tone told her no. It had to be done that day or never. I doubt that.  They want your money.  This lady made it sound like another "talent" scam. Sort of a bait and switch. BEWARE!
