Removing Adware

#3Consumer Suggestion

Surprisingly, Microsoft has a fairly good adware removal tool, and (hold your breath) it's free.

If you go to www.microsoft.com, click WINDOWS ANTISPYWARE (beta), download and install. Set it to run automatically, select all the options.

It will automatically keep itself updated with the latest definitions, and will run by itself during the night.

It is effective, and the price is sure right.

If you get a pop-up saying something is trying to modify your registry, or trying to install software, and you are NOT installing something intentionally, always block the request.

Spyware and adware

#3Consumer Comment

Not a ripoff on movielands part, but the sites you visited in the past have installed spyware/adware on your computer

Google for adware removal or spyware removal for free programs ( Ad-aware is one of them )

always do a complete cache cleaning, cookie removal and adware/spyware removal once a week.
