Moving and Storage USA are thieves! They sent two men to load a truck that had a broken ramp which made it impossible to handtruck our boxes and furniture into the truck. One of the two men called Ramsey was rude and arrogant trying to rip me off for boxing materials, i.e. tape etc. Taking cigarette brakes every 15 minutes making a move of a one bedroom apartment only take two hours into 6 hours total.

They delivered our things to my office warehouse but with only one driver! The driver did not have and paperwork with him showing what was to be delivered!
My manager at the office had to help the one driver unload the items into our warehouse for later delivery into my apartment upon my arrival from Glendale,California to Colorado Springs,Colorado.

However my shipment was missing 30 plus boxes and more than 10 pieces of significant furniture. I paid by weight not volume and asked that none of our tables, etc. have the legs removed. They took of all of the legs to the furniture so they could pack as much as possible into the truck for others completely disregarding our agreement.

I made many calls to a Lee Miller who was the sales person and may be one of the owners as well. She stated that the truck broke down in Texas on the way to Colorado and could not make it with all of our things, the rest went back to California and would ship out to us in two weeks. I contacted the scheduled driver to deliver the balance of our shipment and he stated as that he was with a different company Relocation Time that they were contracted to deliver our things but, never did load everything for the first shipment.

Lee Miller lied to us stating that Moving and Storage USA handles the entire move. They are just brokers who farm out your moves! Half of our things never left California. It finally took 5-weeks to receive the rest of our furnishings but, this time boxes had been repacked and gone through..looking for what they could take from us! Items stolen were chairs, cassette tapes, baskets. Furniture again dissassembled, missing bolts and screws to put everything back together!

Relocation Time supposedly contracted by Moving and Storage USA did not give me my list that I had signed showing our items on board. This is illegal, they said that they never received any paperwork from Lee! We paid these people $3114.00 and for what?

To have waited 5 weeks for our things. Have items stolen from us. Damaged property. Treated with the upmost disregard. No returned calls in trying to get our money back from them! Violations of law accross the board from this company..stay clear of them! They are run by Israeli nationals, some I assume are here illegally! They go by their names of Lee Miller, Colby, Ramsey, Issac, Ray-Ray.

Passing themselves off as the movers

I just got a call from RayRay telling me that they have their own fleet of trucks and they do all the move themselves. I specifically asked if they outsource. She said "No".

Broker or Mover? illegal for a broker only to pass themselves off as the movers

#3Consumer Suggestion

Tue, August 17, 2004

Did Movers & Storage USA actually tell you that "We will be the movers", or did they just "forget" to tell you that they were only brokers? If they did actually say they would be the mvoers, then they can be fined for that. It is illegal for a broker only to pass themselves off as the movers. If they did, call 1-888-DOT-SAFT. Another scam broker, National Moving Network, has already been fined $6,000 for doing this.
