Complaint Review: Moving APT

Moving APT Mr. Aviv Meyr, President Ms. Lily Lamour, Customer Service Manager I paid $2300 deposit to move my furniture through Moving APT. Their truck broke down on the way to do my move, so I cancelled. I asked for a refund and was told that I couldn't get a refund but I could apply towards a future move. Miami Florida

I booked a move with Moving APT over a year ago. On the day that my move was scheduled, they didn't arrive on time, so I called to find out what happened and was told that their moving truck broke down on the way to move us.

I told them that I wanted to cancel my move and they said that I wouldn't be able to get a refund. They said that I could apply my $2300 towards a future move. So I am moving within the state of California, and contacted them. As they begun processing my move, they called and said that they don't do local moves.

They transferred me to the lady who runs the company and I told her that I need to be moved, or that I needed a refund, since they claim that they don't do local moves. She said that that they wouldn't do either. So now, I'm stuck. I was counting on the money that I paid, to use it for moving. Moving APT is refusing to move me, simply because I am moving within the same state, and they won't refund my deposit of $2300.00.
