Moving Services - Carmen Castellano - Taylor Rasted - Jennifer Spinelli moving RIPOFF picked up my stuff, and was unable to provide bill of lading. No one answering the phone, answering machine is off. I have no clue where my belongings are, and what is going on. North Miami Beach Florida
In July, I submitted a request for moving my stuff from California to Hong Kong on website http://www.internationalmoving.ws/. Moving Services is one of the company contacted me. I looked into their website, and read their quote which looked legitimate to me.
So, I signed a contract with them. Within a week, they sent someone to picked up my shipment. I requested a bill of lading many many times without any success. My shipment supposed to arrive Hong Kong on 8/26/04. However, it did not happen.
Then the Moving services assigned a new representative, Carmen, to give me new shipping information. The shipment is supposed to arrive Hong Kong on 9/30/04. I requested bill of lading again this morning, the person who answered the phone told me that all the representatives were busy, and asked me to call back.
By the time I called back, no one answered the phone, not even the answering machine picked up the line. I called Miami police rightaway, and sent an email to Miami FBI. My fear is that my belongings are gone now. Is there anything I can do now?

We moved to another State to catch the wave of the real estate boom and we made $150,000.00.
The nightmare began when we were solicited my Moving Services d.b.a Moving Star. We moved into our new home and there was no furniture there waiting for us as our contract stated.
One week passed, two weeks, passed, nothing, week couldn't sleep one the floor, so we were forced to purchase new beds that cost thousands of dollars.

Your cargo was never stolen or lost, the fact is the FMC never contacted us, your cargo was on the ocean and it took time for it to arrive, its people like Kamilla elliot who spark up fires and claim that we are theives.
Your cargo was picked up, you paid for your services and we shipped it out, its that simple. why do you feel that we stole your cargo. If you realize many customers who thought that the cargo was lost or stolen or the SCAM like kamilla Elliot likes to put it never happened.
You need to visit other companies and see what scamming is all about.
Moving Services had technical and logistics problems, we were understaffed and the last month although in financial problems still managed to pay vendors over $100,000.00 in bills, we can prove this right here right now.
Can kamilla prove her piont the "seldom we paid to vendors just to continue the scam"
This is such lies,
My fellow customers, ,Moving Services apoligizes to all its customers that if at any piont in time we made you feel uncomfortable do to our lack of staff, and logistic problems.
We never intented this to happen, but it did.
THis does not make us criminals, it makes us hard working Americans who try to create a business.
Macys claimed bankruptcy to all its vendors with the NYC store 8-9 times before making the store happen, does that make him a criminal to his vendors.
Please customers, its very easy to piont fingers when you have an advocate like Kamilla Elliot.

I was also ripped off by these people. I just realized that this was a scam when I typed Jennifer Spinelli's name into google.
I don't know what to do. I just filled out the FBI report and I hope they will get back to me.
I live in Belgium now, so it is difficult to call the states. I just want my stuff.
I also recieved a bill from a company called Overnite for $800. They say I am responsible for paying this even though I never setup an agreement with them.
I just need some help, so if you guys can help that would be great.

Moving Services finally responded to my email and gave me the pick up information. My people in Hong Kong picked up the shipment last week. The most helpful people in my case is the people with FMC. Not too long after the FMC contacted the Moving Services, I got an email for the pick up information. It is the only agency I have found that is able and willing to help. All the others were telling me that they do not have the jurisdiction, and the resources to assist me. BBB was another agency that was responded to me, but all they could do was to send Moving Services a letter. I hope my information can help other people to retrieve their properties too.

Kitty--my things were taken from Oakland, CA around the same time as yours and probably to the same storage place. I have been working with the FBI to get Moving Services to disclose the location of my things and under threat of extradiction from Israel, where the owners have fled, they have finally disclosed the location (assuming this is not just another lie). Getting them to release them is another step, but the FBI says we have a right to fire them at any time and ask for our goods back. At any rate, I wanted to give you the address they gave me in case it helps you find your things:

Federal Maritime Commission is very helpful to get Moving Services to respond to me. My people in Hong Kong are trying to retrieve my property. Hopefully, my problem is resolved. Per FMC, there are many claims about Moving Services recently. The people in FMC have closed several cases with this company. If you are having problems getting a hold with Moving Services, try asking FMC for help. Their number is 202-523-5807.
