My wife and I contracted Moving services to do three pack and moves.

1.State to International location.
2.State to State Move.
3.Pack and move into domestic storage.
Moving Services showed up and packed up the International shipment. They sub-crantracted a mover and packer that was not too professional but did the job. Moving Services sent a mover for the second move and the mover did not have enough space on their truck and left and did not return without packing or moving anything. Moving services did not show up for the third move and we had to extend international airline tickets and visas to stay longer in the USA. We did not get to send a shipment to Oregon and had to hire a local rinky dink company the last minute to pack our stuff for domestic storage.

We had to fight with Moving services over the cost of the International Shipment because the original price was $3275 and then once they had the stuff it became $6148. We proved that the company they sent to pack for us forged my wife's signature on packing charge documents. They were also contracted to ship by air. In the end we ended up agreeing on a contract price of $3287 and our stuff is on the way by sea just so we could get our stuff.

The rinky dink company and movers that we had to hire at the last minute to pack the domestic storage disappeared with all of our household goods and we can not find them and no longer have anything left of our personal possessions of 10 years of marriage and our own personal stuff prior to our marriage. We think once they saw we were going overseas they stole our HHGs and now we can't do a whole lot about it because the company name on the receipts and stuff we have is all bogus and the local and state authorities stated that we are not the first to report this same company name doing this to others moving overseas.

That is still being investigated. So in the end a move that should have cost us about $10,000 total has cost us that much plus the loss of all of our HHG and personal possessions (easily $85,000 + all the memories which are invaluable).

We contacted different lawyers and were told that yeah they could try to help us but it is very hard to go after these companies and we would most likely not get near the amount we lost and have to pay lawyer fees, etc Any authority or others that would like the 67 pages of correspondace and contracts, etc... made with this company is more than welcome to request it.

Our reason for sending this to you is to help you with trying to protect others from this type of scam. This is one of the most horrible things to happen to lose everything. My poor wife and children are devastated over all of this.

Please feel free to use anything here to help others avoid this type of situation. We still have not received our International Shipment from the states and from what it looks like it is still at a warehouse.

Moving Services refuses to reply to emails, will not return phone calls, and when we do actually get a hold of someone they say someone else has to handle it and that they are not in the office at the time. So beware of using Moving Services.

This has been a real education for us and as they say hind sight is 20/20, it is. After doing more research we found that using a Moving Broker to set up a move and handle all of this is really not the best idea.

Please take our advise, before you move do research on the companies that are quoting you and stick with known good moving companies. They may cost a little more but you will get your stuff.

I am also a victim. I have a report on this web site under the name Kaylee. They have taken everything I own and thousands of dollars from me too.

The FBI in Florida is investigating moving scam companies and has indicted a number of them, but hasn't yet indicted Moving Services. If we are to get them after Moving Services, all we victims need to file a complaint on their web site at http://miami.fbi.gov/movescam/htm or mail a complaint to

FBI
attn. Moving Company Case
16320 NW 2nd Ave.
N. Miami Beach
FL 33169
or fax it to 305-787-6102

This is crucial. This company has had two prior scam companies and they keep going back in business under new names. We have to get them in prison.
