I work for a nonprofit organization.  Its main work is caring for orphans and abandoned children in Tanzania.  We needed artwork done for sixteen training videos and approached Moxie Media and Marketing to see if they could help us.  We agreed that we would have them do the first video to see if it was what we wanted.  They wanted us to pay up front for the first one and they had us sign a contract on what the rest of them would cost.  That was fine.

We had provided samples of the style and type of work we wanted and they said they could do it.  The quality of their work was far below an acceptable standard so we prepared to find someone else.  They asked for a second chance so we sent someone to walk them through how to do it in detail.  Their work was still far too poor to use so we began looking for another company.  They then claimed that the contract we had signed in the event that we liked their work was binding even though we could not possibly use their work.  They “generously” offered to let us pay 20% of the contract value to get out of it.

The value of what they charged us is enough to care for eighty orphans for a month through our parent organization.  We offered a donation letter for the value of the contract which they declined.  They displayed tremendous “nerve” in asking for payment for work they did not do.  They are unethical to a spectacular degree.  They say one thing in conversations in order to “hook” you, and then act in a completely different way when it comes to delivery.  They are also very incompetent

My advice is to not use them because the quality is terrible and their character and lack of trustworthiness are even worse.  If you must use them, make sure you have an extremely clear exit in your contract.  I wish someone had warned me about them.

I retract my complaint because the company is threatening a lawsuit which I do not want to make time to pursue.  I am sorry for the whole situation.
