Complaint Review: M-Power Solutions

On or about August 2, 2019 I was emailed a request to interview for a Virtual Administrative Assistant by Mr. Erik D. William who allegedly is the hiring manager for M-Power Solutions.  He asked me to go on Skype on Saturday morning (8/3) in order to interview further for a job. 

He asked me why I thought I was qualified for the said job. He said "be here on Skype on Monday morning at 8:00 am, which I was and I was asked a set of questions about my aptitude for the job, my temperament, and my personality, which I filled out and he said he was forwarding it all to the company director. This went on for a few days,

I researched the company and it looked legitimate.  This guy created a website and LinkedIn on a legitmate job search site that was bogus. Know this however, there is a real M-Power Solutions company out of Australia, with a different logo than the one that William used.  I have reported this guy to them.

Until William asked me for $300 to buy a company ID and had obtained my bank information saying he was direct depositing a check for me to buy a laptop, supplies and such to start training for the job I was hired for I did not get suspicious. 

But come to find out, It was all fraud, all false and he does not even work for M-Power Solutions- he is some creep from Nigeria trying to scam money! I was ripped off and now he has my personal and private information and I am afraid! He has my name, my address, my phone number, resume, social security number, bank account number, and information (except my driver's license) that he or someone can use to mimic me to get credit or other. 

I have taken appropriate actions to protect myself.
