(2:00pm pst). 6/24/09.
Received the call about winnings, and was instructed to call the 7694 number with a conformation#. I was congratulated many times and asked to confirm private information that they already had on me. Said the Ups truck would be at my house with-in an hour, but I'd have to go to Walmart to pay a fee of 307.00 first in order to give my receipt to the 2 policeman, 1 sherrif and a lady named Beverly Curry that would arrive at my door to hand me the cashier's check for $90,000.00 tax free and deliver the car. He also asked that I keep this to myself until they could deliver the money. When I explained I didn't have the $307.00 the man asked what charity I would like to donate the money to since I couldn't accept it. He explained that I would lose the money if I couldn't pay the fee and said I would be reimbursed. I explained that I would not be able to pay the fee. He said he would have his manager call me. I have to admit, it did sound credible with all of the names that were representing the rewards, (Pub. Clearing House, Reader's digest, Fed Govt, Gaming Commission, IRS, Bank of America, Chevy), and the compassion that was included, (Thank Gord first and ooh, you sound like you're 25 years old). The most scary thing is they had all of my private information, but I guess that's my fault for using anything but cash for all of my purchases. I hope this information will help others out there.
