Phurix stopped accepting any payments to renew a hosting. After asking how could I pay for the hosting service, they offered me to pay in cocoa seeds.

Unbelievable!

Here is the e-mail I got from Mr. James Wade from Phurix.

Hi,

This is Rudy Saborio from Costa Rica (you can check IP)

I wasn't offered to pay in cocoa seeds.

PHURIX: Just please shut down the service as we requested months ago.
We moved somewhere else. DNSs have been changed long time ago as can see.

I am publicly letting you all know that we don't have anything agains PHURIX and this reported message is not true.

Feel free to drop us an email to seo at inving dot com.

I expect ripofffreport.com to delete this topic and my name after a few days from now.

Thanks,
Rudy Saborio

Rudy Saborio offered to pay his balance in cocoa seeds

It's true that we have stopped accepting paypal payments due to an on going dispute with paypal, however this situation was explained to our customers many months ago.

We are now accepting Google Checkout, bank transfers and any other payment process that doesn't require third party processing.

It's worth noting that we intend to handle credit/debit cards again in the near future.

Although this customer's balance is now overdue and he has been asked to make the payment any way he can, his account and services still remain active.

We explained to the customer that we cannot accept paypal or visa card, and asked if they could pay in any other way.

As you probably guessed this customer offered to pay in us cocoa seeds, which we were willing to accept as a form of payment.

It's a bit unconventional admittedly, but we're no corporate machine and thus are willing to help out people who are struggling with their payments in whatever way we can.

However, as it turns out, he didn't wish to pay in cocoa seeds, but instead has decided to write this report.

Now we're left in a situation where the customer has used the service yet is unable to make the payment.

One thing is for sure, customers like this may come and go, but we're not going anywhere.
