Jerry Beauchamp has refused to pay in full for a network install, in the location involving

#1 Point of sale Software install on 3 clients
#2 Network installation
#3 Router and Infrastructure
#4 Client Workstations that previously had Aloha Installed.
#5 Network Saq Certification for Safe data handling.

I have had my phone calls, dodged, not returned, Claims the Mail never arrived at the location, to a missing check when I did arrive to pick one up, the check I did receive was only partial payment for the installation, the rest has been conveniently ignored.

Task Based Work

#3Author of original report

Wed, March 16, 2011

I tried to explain this on the phone but no-one was calm,I work on a Task based, not time based system, Here are some of  tasks performed

Network install:

The Network install was Not a typical 3 client install peer to peer install,  had several install issues:

Embarq Router and switching.

When the machines were placed on a static subnet with a gateway ip, it triggered the internalDDOS  protection, No packets in, No packets out from the client computers, ICMP filtering

This occurred several times during the point of sale install, debugged with Wireshark, (on my notebook plugged into the LAN, determined to be ddos protection from the router, not typical or commonly seen.

Switching and Cabling mess

A second 4 port switch was added for future expansion and to alleviate traffic+ add to expandability, ,this connects the waitress station to the kitchen switch, the patch between the kitchen switch, and the router(cat5 jack near the desk in the office was disconnected, This took time to discover, There are also several misidentified runs that are
RS232 pinned for ALOHA, RX, TX,GND

I went as far as to suggested changes for the Switch Power cable located behind the door and taped to the wall

Software Licensing:

The Machines could not be pure wiped due to The fact there were no backup media for the systems, or drivers on a short timeframe So The Aloha passwords were removed with ERD, and services turned off that controlled aloha,HOWEVER There was recurrent batch logoff timeout within the registry that was found , and removed, More Debugging work.

Printers,

PL2302x , and other Usb to serial adapters and a dual usb to serial port adapter were on the wrong stations, downloaded drivers and installed them, configuring the serial ports and printer DIP switches for baud rate, parity, speed, this was done on each printer. including solving battery back up issues with the kitchen printer and flashpoint printer routing, one printer has a non-responsive front panel.

DVR the DVR has the windows NTVDM replaced and was restored from a second bootable partitopm on the drive.

Intrusion, No Intrusion was made, and  Infact the file rename was part of a Flashpoint update, and was a dll located within the Flashpoint shared folder, In a paniced response someone on site removed Avira from 3 workstations, and restored the BASE flashpoint from a backup, when I got the phone call, I was standing in another office, re-wiring another
switch, Told Josh to call paul as I was not even available.

I Stand by my work, and I did the work when it comes to the infrastructure, peer to peer, and expect to be paid accordingly, Speak to Paul about some of the tasks performed, and I do work of a task basis, not a time basis, and You have a working functional printing credit card processing point of sale, Tasks Complete, Still Not Paid in Full, No-one would speak in a calm manner so I taking this public.

This is just some of the installation tasks performed, ASK PAUL.

On behalf of the wonderful place they call Mr. Jerry's Tavern I would have to let you all know that the person who is making this complaint has not shared all the information.  They have tried giving the bar a bad name on popular social networks and around town.

You can't get paid for services without an itemized bill.  The complainer also had to rely on staff to pick him up everytime from his parents' house and bring him clear across town and then take him back at his convenience.  He was given meals and beverages.

Roughly 6 hours were recorded as worked time.  The rest was just hanging out.  The complainer also was logging into the system without permission and created problems within which in turn cost Mr. Jerry's Tavern capital.  The complainer was paid a fair price for the little work that was actually completed.

An outside firm did all of the programming and built the system.  The complainer only put staff in contact with the firm and all money was paid in full to them.  I believe the fact of the matter is a complainer has nothing better to do than spend all day on the computer and rely on other people for transportation.  The complainer has received compensation for services rendered and will not be paid a penny more.

Mr. Jerry's Tavern is a great place and Jerry Beauchamp is a reputable businessman.  He is fair and expects to be treated fair. I know the staff rather well and it bothers me to read about something that isn't even true.  I hope the complainer retracts all statements and realizes that what's fair is fair and leave well enough alone.
