I purchased a Canon i550 printer on 21 Feb 2003, which had a $30.00 rebate promotion offer starting 03 Oct. 2002 good thru 28 Feb. 2003. The rebate paperwork was mailed 22 Feb 2003. All submitted paperwork was scanned and documented in .pdf format prior to mailing to their Scottsdale AZ. rebate clearing house.

05 May I received noncompliance post card, stating I bought the printer prior to the offer date. I immediately called "Tim" at 888-864-6781 to complain. I was directed to resubmit my paperwork by fax to (480) 606-4313 attn Dept 35470.

Attempted to fax this information on 05/05/03 and 05/06/03 and was unsuccessful, got error message that their fax machine out of paper or disabled. Fax was sucessfully sent on 05/07/03.

On 16 May I called 888-864-6781 for status: No change in status according to the automated phone system. Live Operator "Bernice" did a recheck. Client Services has it, sorry for the misinformation were her exact words.

06/23/03 status check: No change in status according to the automated phone system. Live Operator "Dave" did a recheck. No record that they (client services) got the fax, please refax the resubmittal.

What is real interesting is they are also handling my Norton Antivirus rebate, which originally was "not received". I faxed it a resub of the paperwork for this rebate on 13 June. Status as of 23 June has it received and in-process. Next week, who knows....
