Complaint Review: Michael Hughes

Mr. Michael Hughes, of Upper Marlboro, Md was walking what 2 Rottweillers near his house when we approached him about some puppies, at which time he presented us with 2 females about 7-8 weeks old. We, my wife & kids fell in love, at which time I asked Mr. Hughes if they had papers, to which he answered by bringing out photos of their supposed grandparents, of pure German lineage.

Mr Hughes assured my wife as well as myself that AKC, papers could be obtained as long as two years away and that there was no rush, we agreed. Mr. Hughes suggested a payment plan would not be a problem, as long as it didn't take to long, we left a deposit of $100.00, and paid the rest off in two payments of $200.00 in less than three weeks. Since completely paying off our puppy, I have contacted Mr. Hughes concerning the AKC papers to which I have received nothing but abusive language, claimeing that we took to long to pay off the puppy, not that he didn't receive the agreed amount in full, just that it took to long, when it was his idea completely to make payments in the first place.

I really couldn't tell you if his dogs really have papers or not, because the photo he presented to us turned out to be out of a magazine. Please be aware, as we allowed our self to be duped, perhaps a little to easy by a professional acting individual, Mr. Hughes is not to be trusted.
