Complaint Review: MR. ROOTER

I called Mr. Rooter to come out and give me a price on fixing a toilet.  First of all they tried to look under my mobile home and told me the  lines were messed up and it would be over $1000 to fix it.  I told them that was not what I asked them to do to please go inside and look at the toilet.  They did and said it would be approx $358.  I told them it was ok that I couldn't afford that right then and I would have to have it fixed another time.  The  man said well,,how much money do you have anyway? I asked again to look at the toilet and he did.  It was an older mobile home so the back of the toilet is plastic.  I was standing in the den looking directly at them all of a sudden they said they had to go so they almost running out of the house and said I didn't owe them anything.  I had no idea what the heck was wrong--well,,needless to say I called another company that works on mobile homes and the man showed me where they tank had been broken and he quoted me only $275 and that included the labor.  

I was totally shocked but it made sense why they ran out of my house!!  I did call them on the same day and wanted to speak to the manager/supervisor.  He did call me but did not sound like he gave a crap about what had happened.  He told me he would "try" to get some free time that day to see what he could do but it would still cost me.

I told him not to even bother because of the treatment earlier!

I will never call them again and people beware !!
