Absolute Total Ripoff; Septic tank was backed up, so I called MR Rooter Plumbing.  They sent a repairman out - I was told he would be at the house within 2 hours and that he would call when he was 30 minutes out.  3 hours later, he was at the house.  He failed to call before arrival.
Although I had called Mr Rooter Plumbing, the Repairman sent out was from Georgia Waste Mgmt.
Once on site, Alan, the repairman,  lead me to believe that the septic tank probably had serious issues and that this would be a costly repair but that he couldn't provide an estimate until he had dug-up the area surrounding the septic tank .  After using the backhoe He showed me his companies standard pricing list.  The repair prices were mounting; he then offered to "help me out" by performing some of the work "on his own" and "off the bill" by suggesting that I pay him cash to offset some of the standard charges.  I paid an additional $1000. for services I don't even think were performed, or were just plain fake.  For example, he lead me to believe that it would cost an additional $500 to remove the chain link fence and post as listed in the company service charge catalog, and that he would do it for $100.  The charges continued to mount.
After the job was complete and the hole was filled in, his truck snagged the phone and cable lines as he was pulling out of the driveway. As the truck snagged the phone lines, it pulled the downspout off a corner of the house, completely ripped out the vinyl siding corner, and ran a 5 foot gash through the vinyl siding above the garage.  At first he tried to claim that the wind had knocked it down.
He then offered to fix the siding (on his own time, to keep from having to report the damage to his employer) the next weekend.  He came the next Saturday without materials.  Instead, he gave me a story about the recent loss of a family member and asked for a loan which he intended to pay back within the next week. (I made a HUGE mistake and gave him cash.)  He never returned to fix the damage, and whenever I called him on the phone, he claimed that everything would be taken care of within the week.   In December, he called to inform me that he had materials to fix the damage, but he would need $500. so that he could purchase the materials from a siding company; he suggested that I send the money via Western Union. I had been ripped off enough!

Since he pulled the stuff down while driving a truck just get his insurance company involved. Contact your homeowners insurance company and let them do the legwork. They'll shake this guy down for FULL DAMAGES. Don't play around with him any more. He's a real scammer.

BTW, I ALWAYS avoid ANY company with ROOTER in the name.
