I paid the MRA Group, LLC over two thousand dollars supposedly for a modification on my mortgage and my balance lowered, according to some type of Federal program. I got the modification with lower motgage payments, lower interest rates, and a balloon payment.
Being that I refuse to sign the modification agreement, because of the balloon payment, I am now being threatened about foreclosure. I am on a fixed income, my home is all that I have, and if the Mortgage Lender forclose, I will be homeless.
Before this, even though I was struggling, my payments were on time. Now, because I will not sign the agreement, I am being told that I am approximately seven thousand dollars in the arrears.
I signed a authorization form that states that this authorization will remain in effect for twelve (12) months from the date of signing, October 21, 2013, or a successful modification is offered by Mortgage Lender, whichever occur first. I do not feel that a balloon payment is a successful modification.
I have called the MRA Group several times, but no one will return my call. I am really stressing, and need some help.
