DETAILS OF THE COMPLAINT

I had this company put in a new windshield in my 1981
cadillac Seville (76000) orignal miles, they made two attempts to repair my car,

on the second attempt they chipped the paint surrounding the windshield, scraping into the metal, lost an end cap to the chrome trim and damaging the chrome, and leaving black sealant on the paint,

I had an estimate of $720.00 to repair the work they did to my car, and was asked to meet them at their downtown portland location on saturday December 7th, and they did not show up,

so on monday I called and talked to the owner and set up an appointment to get the car looked at, on tuesday the 10th, I met him at company headquarters and he looked briefly at the car and told me they've done damage to other cars and he payed to fix them and on others he'd fight to the supreme court if need be,

he told me that mine was one he'd fight!,I realize my car is an 81 but if you could see it, it's in great shape, garaged kept condition, but since it was not "cherry" as the owner said, he won't fix it,

now my car has a new windsheild with no moulding around it because the paint has to be fixed first, to combat rust from the chips and scrapes they caused,

he told me that this is normal when you put in a windshield in a car, that scrapes and chips happen??

I don't think so. I am hoping other people with nice cars won't have to deal with this, this business ripped me off a $165.00 for a windshield that now will cost $700+ to fix.

would'nt you like to hire a company to replace your windshield that says chipping and scraping your paint is normal??
