MTC, Inc - calling themselves Management That Cares has mismanaged property I owned and owes me money for plumbing expenses a tenant was billed for but didn't pay. I was told over a year ago I would get it back out of her deposit when she moved. First, they didn't bother to get a large enough deposit due to their poor management methods.
Secondly it took me weeks to get my deposit and they tried the we mailed it, of course it never showed up for weeks. Then they mailed it and it was only half of what it should have been. Then I have been hassling with them for weeks about returning the remainder of the deposit they owed me which was the money for the plumbing charges the tenant didn't pay but the charged me for a year ago and said I would get back when the tenant left.
After weeks of none stop calls to every person on his staff - Tom Conlee sent me a check finally for the remainder of the depoist which keep in mind was to cover expenses, listed the expenses as income and had the nerve to charge me commission on giving me back the money I paid in full as expenses he had without from my rent check. He collected the full commission due the company on those two months that these two expenses were deducted from my rental income so he can't say he had to go back and add anything he could then claim income on.
He got his money on time and in full for those months rent. I have tried nicely to collect my money while he has been drawing interest on my money. I call the officec everyday and leave messages with every employee in their voicemail and none of them return my calls so each day I do it again and again and will continue till he returns my money in full. I have not cashed the check he sent withholding commission charges on expenses he listed as income.
I am not stupid and know that casing would mean accepting the terms. I do not accept it and want my money in full. I researched MTC online and found plenty of complaints and bad reviews. Management That Cares... less. MTC, Inc is not an honest company despite the vm recordings wishing you a blessed day.

Sandy, you and I seem to be having similar issues with this Tom (Con)lee of a joke guy. Let's talk about it. 4 years ago I met Tom at his office while dropping off my rent one day. After that day, he stalked me for two months straight at my home!! He would drive through my neighborhood and pass by my house slowly, thinking I would never notice but I always knew! He began to text message, email and eventually called me on the phone, begging to meet him for lunch-so after being annoyed for two months, I said okay. Big mistake! He pretended to be some kind of "advisor or mentor" just to rub elbows with me, keep me talking so he could swindle me into his trap!!!
What started off as an innocent conversation while he continued to refill my vodka/cranberry drunk, led to him forcing my arms down so I couldn't move and raping me! I never spoke a word of it to anyone... My family all live out of town and I felt alone with no one to turn to (not even my closest friends because of feeling so embarrassed and humiliated-(just discussing) and even worse, stuck here with my crazy ex and his drama so I stayed quiet about it for nearly 4 years... .. After that day, Tom changed. He began to show up unannounced at my home, followed me places and would even leave donuts in a bag hanging on my front door knob!
No name, no nothing. Crazy!! Later to find out he was the responsible party. Fast forward the next 4 years of dealing with Tom's sex abuse and threats for my kids and I to be thrown into the streets, I had enough of it. I told him this past January to leave me alone, leave my children alone, and to seize all contact with me immediately... I told him if he didn't that I would be reporting him to the Department of Housing & Urban Development for the illegal things he is doing in business as well as make contact with the owner of my rental to let him in, on what has REALLY BEEN GOING ON!!!
It was not too much longer after making my usual cash payments he has demanded of me to physically bring to his house, I get an email this time that says he has no clue about any money left at his house for him and claims to not have seen a standard sized envelope sticking out of his front door that had $3300 in cash, inside!!!! Next thing I know? I'm being evicted with claims of "unpaid rent", OH, how convenient!!!! I am fighting this wrongful eviction in court and making everyone on the web completely aware of who he really is and what he did to me. Maybe after he is locked up he will realize he is not as big as he thought after all, and won't be able to do what he did to me, to anyone else... Tom is a compulsive liar, he cheats people and thinks he is above the law.... Perhaps the law shall judge him for themselves...

They still owe me 233 dollars more on the deposit for damages the tenant did to my property. In addition they charged me 90 more dollars for sending their people out to the property which should also have been billed to the tenant since she damaged the appliance in question and was deemed responsible for the plumbing charges by MTC themselves. They owe me an total of $323 back.
