Music Xray Don't BUY into it New York Internet
The opportunity I submitted is for "New talent for Development" for OVO, Drakes/Noah "40" Shabib record label. I submitted live audio to a loop sesh you can view at https://youtu.be/U05x4JNFQ9Q About an hour after submitting my submission was put on hold thinkig to myself "ok, this may be legit considering not being able to find one legit review on MXray (other than what's on their own site) after extensive research". 15 hrs later my submission was not selected but here's the kicker.
The response reads "I and my team like what you're doing however it doesn't quite fit what we are looking for. Please feel free to submit more material. You might have a song we are looking for." ?!?!?! Submit more material?!? This "ovo" submission isn't looking for material, they are looking for "talent to develop". But they want me to pay $ to submit more?!? Not to toot my own horn but if that live loop sesh that I submitted isn't enough talent to look into further rather than ask to submit other material, I find the whole process fraudulent.
I mean really, what SUPER PRODUCER in the music insudtry in reviewing tracks on a friday night right after submitting??? If you're going to scam people Music Xray, at least you can be sure to know what the submission you're responding to is ACTUALLY for. TO ALL OF YOU THAT READ THIS, if your submission isn't nicer than what you see in the link above, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Better yet DON't waste your time at all! Remember, this specific opportunity was a talent submission. NOT a Beat/Song submission! They were'nt looking for material to use. They were looking for NEW TALENT that could be devloped. BEWARE!!!!

This is an unfortunate incident. The industry professional account in question was an impostor, despite our best-practices account review and approval process. As soon as we detected it we removed the account and began the refund process to the users who had paid to submit.
Music Xray exercizes the highest degree of transparency. Site integrity is our most important asset.
Most complaints filed by users against Music Xray are musicians whose music was passed over by the industry and unfortunately, sometimes Music Xray, which is simply the platform, is attacked. It is like attacking the phone company when someone receives a call with bad news. In this case, both the user who posted here on Ripoff Report and Music Xray were ripped off by an impersonator of an industry professional who went as far as to impersonate the professional on the phone with us as well as to impersonate their references when we called them. It is sad and unfortunate, and we apologize to this user and others who were effected.
