Mustan-Spirit Rip-off! horses adopted out (sold) illegally Murfreesboro Tennessee

The VP of this "rescue",Mustang-Spirit, obtained my four horses under false pretenses. She was supposed to pay $500 each for them (total of $2000) and keep them, FOREVER, as her families personal horses.

Not only did she not pay for the horses but, with out my knowledge, she SOLD them through the rescue (Mustang-Spirit). The mares were sold for $1000 each and the two foals were sold for $500 and $600.
She knew full well that these horses were NEVER to be sold. If she could not care for them she was to send them back to me.

I appealed to the president of this "rescue" and was told "the horses were gone and I would not see them again". I am still trying to find where they are, and Lord willing, one day I will.

So, the top two in this "rescue" are in on this together.
This "rescue" has violated it's non-profit status and is continuing to do so. What they are doing under of the guise of being a "rescue" is scamming people out of their horses and dooming them to whoever pays their prices. Please help to reveal "rescues" such as this for what they are.

I have proof that what you have said is false. I also have the flyers that Mustang-Spirit had out to sell (adopt for a price) my horses. If you do have ownership for life then do the right thing and give them back to their rightful owner - ME. There must be plenty of horses that NEED rescuing that you can help.

Mustang-Spirit Rebuttal

First off, the original deal was between Ms. Reid and the previous owner, Mustang-Spirit had nothing to do with it

Secondly, there was no contract between the two above mentioned people nor mustang-spirit that said the horses had to be returned, therefore Ms. Reid was able to do what she wanted with these animals.

Thirdly, Ms. Reid informed the previous owner prior to the horses leaving her possession, that she did not have the funds to pay to purchase these horses and the previos owner shipped them anyway. Then several months later, demanded a PMU foal, for which Ms. Reid paid for out of her own pocket to complete the transaction.

Next, Ms. Reid came to the conclusion that she personally could not afford to keep all 4 of these horses so she donated them legally to the rescue and the rescue put them up for adoption.

Lastly, we do not SELL our animals we ADOPT them out and we do retain ownership of them for life.
