I receive a bogus letter from Mutual Financial Securiies Inc. It stated that my name was selected through a random computer ballot system drawn from over 50,000 names. At first I thought how could this be. Then I started to think and realized that I never entered a sweepstakes. Just the contrary I dispise the junk.

Anyway as I kept reading, the letter went on to state that
the check enclosed for $4890 I quote " has been deducted from your winnings. The sole purpose of this check is for the paymentof applicable Government Taxes on your big winnings". Now the next paragraph was confusing because it stated that the tax amount is $2985 to be paid eother by MONEYGRAM or WESTERN UNION.

In the last paragraph, it states do not attempt to use this check until you call. The letter gives three different #'s; winning #, ticket serial # and a claim number. The person to contact is Bob Morris however the letter is signed by Mary Long ( Promotion Manager)

Real talk , The way the economy is going right now, it is easy to fall into a scam such as this one especialy if you are facing fanacial difficulties. The other thing is that this ckeck appears to be real and at first sight, one would think that this is the answer to thier prays and so with out taking a moment to ask ourselves certain vital questions, we a drawn to go ahead thinking that this is the thing that will take care of everything. And, this is right on time.

Please take it from me....I have been scammed before although not in this form and not just once. So now I am at a point where I always take a step back when something comes across my way that seems so easy. The saying goes if it is to good to be true, it probably is.

Lastly, PLease take heath to your well being by not acting so quickly to things that come easy. Do it for the well being of you and your family.

P.s. My hope is that these people get caught before they tramatize yet another innicent by stander.

Take care of yourself and each other.
