mutual omaha united They kick you when you're down! Internet, Internet
I noticed on April 24, 2012 that $47.32 was being taken of our checking account by UNITED/LBS. Further research revealed it was Mutual of Omaha, a Life insurance Policy I asked my husband to cancel when we got a new policy in
Dec 2011. When I called the agent said she showed my husband had called in December, but he had actually asked for quarterly billing, not a cancellation. I asked why they hadnt put us on quarterly billing, or mailed a bill, and she said
they should have called, she wasnt sure, but she knew that for sure my husband had not requested cancellation. We hadnt had the policy long enough for quarterly billing, anyway.
Now, I have known my husband for a very long time. Hes not a liar. He is not easily confused. He is not a person who enjoys paying for two life insurance polices for no reason, especially while he insists, on the phone in a conference call, that he used the words cancel the policy in December 2011. It took me four months to notice that we were still being billed for the policy, and one phone call to realize that we had chosen a bad life insurance company.
In the end though, I would like to thank them for the opportunity to see what they really would have treated us like before we paid them for, say thirty or forty years. I just got laid off and was reviewing my finances. I cant imagine
depending on Mutual of Omaha if my husband actually passed after experiencing their Customer is Always Wrong policy in action.
