DO NOT get sucked in by this ridiculous company! They have had my deposit for almost one year and I'm going through HELL to get it back. They purposely don't put a phone number on ANY of their correspondence. Once you find the phone number on the website, it of course isn't the correct department and you must go through several more long distance phone numbers, all of which request you to leave a message which is NEVER returned.

Once we finally decided to go on our "free" vacation, this company requested a non refundable $100 security deposit. We selected a date for our vacation that met their horrendous requirements, e.g., not 7 days before a holiday, not during the summer, blah, blah, blah.

Within a few days, they responded via letter that said that date was not available, and THEY picked the date we could go, not acceptable to us, so we asked for a refund and 10 weeks later. I was told that they had checks stolen so they had to freeze their business accounts, and they could not issue refunds. I doubt very much this is true. I sent them a detailed letter of my frustrations and they never responded.

Jane,

I am sorry to hear that you experienced any difficulty redeeming one of our company's vacation certificates. We will be glad to correct the situation for you, including providing you with a replacement certificate.

I must point out that your comments about our vacation certificate are not accurate. First, you were given this vacation certificate for free; however, this is not a free vacation. The vacation certificate requires that the traveler pay for airfare or hotel taxes, as well as any items of a personal nature. Also, all accommodations are based on availability and accommodations may be limited or non-existent during peak periods. This is a universal aspect of the vacation certificate industry, and all of these limitations are fully disclosed in the terms and conditions of the certificate you received.

Second, it is false that the $100.00 deposit you submitted is non-refundable. This deposit is fully refundable, unless you cancel a confirmed reservation without providing adequate notice. This is required to cover our company's expenses for the accommodations. This too is fully disclosed in the terms and conditions of the certificate you were given.

Lastly, if you are still due a refund of your refundable deposit, we will mail you a check at once. However, we cannot locate your record based on the information you submitted to the Ripoff Report. Our Reservation Database is not capable of searching for a customer by first name, city and state.

Please call us at our expense at 1-800-566-8281 and a representative will assist you in obtaining any outstanding refund. We will also offer you a replacement certificate. And if you need to leave a message, I guarantee that your call will be returned.

Thank you for your comments.
